Facility Rentals

The Hammonds Plains Community Centre is located in the heart of Hammonds Plains, 2041 Hammonds Plains Road at Glen Arbour Way. We are 27 minutes from Halifax downtown or international airport.

All rentals include:

  • use of tables & chairs. Renter is responsible for set up and tear down.
  • a free 30-minutes before & after your rental time for set up and tear down.
  • damage/cleaning deposit - $65 unless otherwise indicated. Fully refundable after your rental assuming no issues.
  • booking deposit - lower of your rental fee or $200 due upon booking. Fully refundable if cancelled 7 days or more prior to your event.

Rates are per space: Firefighters Hall or Kitchen/Meeting Room.

2-Hour Rental

Wedding Package

Wedding Package:

The Hammonds Plains Community Centre is a great place to celebrate your wedding or host your reception. The Wedding Package includes access to the Firefighters’ Hall Friday evening for set up, decorating or a rehearsal party. You will then have exclusive use of the hall Saturday afternoon and evening for your ceremony and/or reception.

Package includes:

Friday 5pm to Sunday 1am access to the hall.
Bar Service:
Bar Staff included (Saturday 8pm – 1am).
Staff Cleaning after the event
$200 booking deposit and $200 damage deposit due upon booking.

Event with Bar Service

Event with Bar Service:

The Hammonds Plains Community Centre is a great place to celebrate your anniversary, adult birthday party, retirement, office/Holiday Party, or any other special event that requires bar service. This package includes access to the Firefighters’ Hall Saturday from 5pm to decorate if required, and then to host your event.

Package includes:

Saturday 5pm to Sunday 1am access to the hall.
Bar Service:
Bar Staff included (8pm – 1am).
Staff Cleaning after the event
$200 booking deposit and $200 damage deposit due upon booking.

Event (non-alcohol) / Teen Dance

Event (non-alcohol) / Teen Dance:

The Hammonds Plains Community Centre is a great place to host a teen dance or other non-alcohol party. This Package includes access to the Firefighters’ Hall Saturday from 5pm til midnight.

Package includes:

Friday or Saturday 5pm to midnight access to the hall.
Bar Service:
Soft-Drink Service available upon request. (up to 5 hours).
Staff Cleaning after the event
$100 booking deposit and $300 damage deposit due upon booking.

Kitchen Add-on

Kitchen Add-on: Food Preperation

If you are renting the Firefighters Hall and plan to hire a caterer or prepare your own food, you can add-on a kitchen rental:

  • $50 for standard rentals
  • $100 for packages

Kitchen Add-on: No Food Preperation

If you are renting the Firefighters Hall and need a fridge to store food or range to reheat food, you can add-on a kitchen rental:

  • $10 for standard rentals up to 3 hours.
  • $20 for packages up to 3 hours.
  • $25 for standard rentals over 3 hours.
  • $50 for packages over 3 hours.

Bar Service

Bar Service:

Let us know if you wish to serve alcohol at any other event. Our bar is well stocked with popular and premium brands.

Bar Service is included in our Wedding Weekend and Bar Event packages. Pricing for other events based on size.

Extras

Extras: Coffee and Tea Service

We have two 100-cup urns available. We can rent them or provide a full service for $1.25 per person.

Extras: Audio/video equipment / flipchart

Let us know if you need any presentation equipment.

  • $50 for audio/ PA system
    , $20 for projector/screen
  • $5 for flipchart

Extras: Set up & tear down of tables & chairs

Go for convenience and have us set up the tables and chairs for you! We’ll also put them away after your event.

Pricing is based on the expected number of hours to set up and tear down. $25+HST per hours. Minimum 2 hours.

Extras: Tablecloth rental

We have white cloth tablecloths available to rent. $40 for events up to 100 people or $60 for events up to 150 people. Includes laundering.

We can help promote your event by using one of our road or building signs or promoting on social media. Building sign is free for a week or road sign is $45 per side per week. (Subject to availability)
